Hello my name is Cindy Sherk. I am thirty five years old and I have had eighteen years of experience in a childcare. I am married to Justin Sherk and we have two beautiful children named Austin and Abigail. I am the owner and operator of Sherk Family Daycare. I am registered to provide childcare for up to, but not exceeding ten children. I am both C.P.R. and First Aid certified in Infants/Adults. I am fully qualified and have all the certifications required by the state to operate a daycare. I have always known I wanted to work with children. I started babysitting when I was thirteen and it kind of just went from there. I volunteered in middle school with the special needs department and continued babysitting all through high school for my neighbors and friends. I met my husband about six years ago and knew instantly that he was the "one". Three years later we had our first son and I knew I didn't want him in regular daycare. I didn't feel that environment would be good for him, always being shuffled around for ratio's and a constant turnover in teachers. It was not the kind of life I wanted for my child, so I began watching children in our home again.

I enjoy working with children of all ages and I feel very fortunate that I have been able to open Sherk Family Daycare and provide parents with their child care, as well as their preschool needs. With increased requirements in our public and private schools, preschool is an absolute necessity, in order for our children to be academically, as well as socially prepared for Kindergarten! I am happy to make it possible for parents to go to work, by providing preschool and child care. I enjoy the opportunity to educate and witness the growth and development of many children!
